Photography sessions - starting at $200

Milestones

Choose 3 sessions over your baby's first year. This can include maternity, newborn, 6 months or 1 year (or any age in between!) Includes 25 beautiful images from each session. All newborn sessions take place in my Chesterfield studio. All other sessions have an option of being outside or in studio.

Newborns

There are 4 options for newborn sessions.

  1. Full newborn session which can include siblings and parents. Comes with 25 downloadable images. - $525
  2. Mini newborn session - this session is for baby only and includes 10 downloadable images - $350
  3. Micro - Mini session. This is for baby only and baby will be wrapped the entire session. 5 images are included. - $200
  4. Lifestyle newborn session - This session takes place in the comfort of your home and includes family, even pets!  Comes with 30 images - $525

Babies

The baby session is for babies 3 months and older. They can either take place in my studio in Chesterfield, VA, a park in the area or your home. This session is for baby only and has 2 options -

$250 - Mini Baby Session - Includes 10 images

$395 - The Full Baby Session - includes 25 images

Maternity

The Maternity Session takes place outdoors. We can decide on a location once you are booked. Maternity photos are best done between weeks 28-36. This session includes 20 images.

family

For families and/or children of all ages. These sessions take place in the evenings outdoors for the glowy sunlight. Depending on the season, family sessions take place about 1 1/2 hours before sunset. Locations will be convenient to the Richmond area.

FAQ

How do we schedule a newborn session when baby hasn't arrived yet?

When you book you would need to let me know your due date so I can pencil you in around that time. We all know babies arrive on their own timeline so I keep my schedule flexible to allow for earliness or lateness. I would just need you to let me know when baby arrives (the sooner the better) so we can then schedule the date/time.

 

What is the ideal age for a newborn session

My PREFERRED age is 6-12 days after arrival. This doesn't mean I won't photograph older (or younger newborns) I once photographed a 3 day old because it was the only time dad had off (he was in residency). I've also photographed up to 5 week old newborns. It is definitely more difficult but still doable.

 

when is the best time for a maternity session?

 

Between 28-36 weeks is ideal. This is not a hard and fast rule but you will definitely be more comfortable during this timeframe. The latest I've ever taken maternity images was someone who was 40 weeks and was having contractions during her session! The images were still beautiful.

 

What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?

I will make the call as soon as I think that the weather will not cooperate. We would just have to reschedule for another date. All outdoor sessions take place in the evenings, close to when the sun sets to get that beautiful, glowy light.
