A little before and after. I always love to get my pictures as perfect as can be straight out of camera... (which means less editing for me!) but sometimes it's just not up to my standards and I have to make minor adjustments to make that image pop! Read on to see what steps I took to make this image perfect!
First - I took some yellow out of the fur on the left of the image by using 'mellow the yellow' from Greater Gatsby Photoshop Actions
Second - I cropped the image to my liking. I usually like to use composition rules and put the main focus in one of four corners, but since we have twins I decided to stick them smack in the middle. Once you know the rules of composition, it's ok to 'break' the rules when you think it's more pleasing to the eye. I also used the clone tool to make the fur fit the image.
Third - Both babies are a little red as most babies are at this age. Baby on the left is a little more red than the right. I used a photoshop action 'shed the red' from Greater Gatsby photoshop actions to remove the red in the skin. I avoided the lips of course.
Fourth - I used a tiny bit of a skin smoother action, once again from Greater Gatsby to smooth out baby's skin. Avoiding the eyes, nose, lips and folds.
Fifth - Increased exposure on left side to even light out
Sixth - Adjusted curves in photoshop.
Seventh - I used the band aid tool in photoshop to fix small imperfections
Eighth - Added a soft vignette to finish it off!
